This new solution enables users to easily monitor construction site progress and issue work instructions directly from a mobile device.
With this release, the digital twin of the construction site created in the “Smart Construction Dashboard”* can now be easily viewed on mobile devices. Users can place comments directly on the 3D map within the digital twin, allowing for more accurate communication of work instructions compared to verbal explanations. Photos taken on-site can also be shared along with messages on the 3D map, enabling seamless coordination and documentation—useful, for example, as a completion report.
Moreover, users can overlay their current GPS location on the latest terrain data and design targets created in the “Smart Construction Dashboard,” making it easy to understand construction progress relative to their exact position. When moving around the site, the app displays both direction and distance to the destination from the current location, supporting smooth on-site navigation.
With this solution, the “Smart Construction Dashboard,” which has traditionally been used primarily on PCs, becomes more accessible via mobile devices. This is expected to promote broader adoption of digital twins at construction sites, enabling smoother alignment among project stakeholders and ultimately improving on-site productivity.
