EARTHBRAIN Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Akinori Onodera, hereinafter “EARTHBRAIN”) has launched a new feature for its “Smart Construction 3D Machine Guidance” solution called “3DMG Basic,” which enables immediate use of 3D machine guidance without the need for pre-processing such as creating 3D design data or performing localization. With simple on-screen operations, users can begin 3D-guided construction work right away.
The newly introduced “3DMG Basic” feature allows users to generate a flat target surface by aligning the bucket tip of a hydraulic excavator—equipped with Smart Construction 3D Machine Guidance—to a reference elevation and simply tapping the “Set Bucket Tip to Target Surface” button on the tablet interface.
Users can also make adjustments easily through the tablet, such as shifting the surface up or down, or applying slope values to create a slanted surface. This enables a wide variety of field applications beyond flat grading, including setting drainage slopes, basic slope work, excavation for building foundations, and trenching. The feature allows operators to generate simplified 3D design surfaces on-site and immediately begin construction using 3D machine guidance.
