EARTHBRAIN Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Akinori Onodera, hereinafter “EARTHBRAIN”) has officially launched “Smart Construction Design3D,” a new solution that allows users to easily create 3D models on terrain data and efficiently plan construction projects in a digital environment.
Unlike conventional CAD tools, this solution does not require complex procedures or advanced expertise. Users can intuitively draw 3D models directly on terrain point cloud data—acquired via drones, 3D laser scanners, or mobile applications—by simply clicking on specific locations in a web browser. For example, users can quickly model temporary access roads for construction sites with minimal effort.
Thanks to its user-friendly interface, even those without specialist skills—such as site managers or general construction personnel—can create and visualize 3D construction plans. This enables better collaboration and alignment among stakeholders through more realistic visualizations of the project site.
The created 3D models can be exported in LandXML format and linked with Smart Construction Dashboard for tasks such as calculating earthwork volumes. Additionally, the models can be transferred as design data to ICT-enabled machinery equipped with Smart Construction Retrofit, enabling immediate deployment of ICT-based construction.
