(President and CEO: Akinori Onodera, hereinafter referred to as “EARTHBRAIN”) has officially launched Smart Construction Whiteboard, a new solution that digitizes the management of construction site assets—such as machinery and personnel—using a digital whiteboard, aiming to streamline dispatch and asset management operations and strengthen coordination with job sites.
Traditionally, construction site assets—including workers, construction machinery, and attachments—have been managed manually on office whiteboards or paper. This solution enables centralized digital registration and management of all such assets. Users can display and search registered asset and location information for each site, and interact with them on a web-based interface, just like moving magnets on a physical whiteboard.
For example, dispatch management of construction machinery can be digitized simply by dragging and dropping machinery and operator information on the dashboard. By sharing accurate dispatch information with site supervisors via the solution, it ensures more reliable task instructions than verbal communication, helping improve coordination and workflow on-site.
The solution also allows users to capture machine operating hours, input work logs, and review whiteboard activity history, making it possible to allocate resources more efficiently based on actual usage data. Additionally, asset managers can switch between asset information across multiple sites and share those details among project stakeholders, contributing to overall productivity improvement across construction operations.
The Smart Construction Whiteboard also integrates with Komtrax, Komatsu’s remote monitoring system for construction machinery. This allows all information related to Komatsu equipment owned by the customer to be automatically synced and viewable from the moment the solution is introduced.
