Smart Construction® will be showcased at the Komatsu booth during the 6th Construction & Survey Productivity Improvement Exhibition (hereinafter “CSPI-EXPO”※1), held over three days from Wednesday, May 22 to Friday, May 24, 2024, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture.
The Construction & Survey Productivity Improvement Exhibition (CSPI-EXPO)—supported by the Digital Agency, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and the Ministry of the Environment—is Japan’s premier exhibition showcasing the latest and most advanced machinery, equipment, technologies, and services from the construction and surveying industries.
At this year’s CSPI-EXPO, Komatsu will present both its largest-ever indoor booth (900 m², Booth No. 05-90 / 09-91) and an outdoor booth (Booth No. OD-06). Across both locations, Komatsu will exhibit its electric construction machines and a wide range of Smart Construction® solutions and services.
The indoor booth will feature Komatsu's electric excavator PC200LCE, electric forklifts, and other electric machinery, highlighting the company’s efforts toward carbon neutrality. Some models will be equipped with Smart Construction 3D Machine Guidance, a retrofit ICT system, and productivity-enhancing attachments such as tilt rotators.
In addition, a custom-built large van outfitted as a mobile office will demonstrate how Smart Construction® solutions and remote operation systems for construction equipment can support rapid response in on-site and disaster recovery scenarios.
Exhibits will also explore how Smart Construction® enables the goals of ICT Construction Stage II and digital transformation (DX) in the infrastructure sector, as promoted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Displays will be tailored to showcase practical applications from the perspectives of on-site workers, site managers, and executives.
In the outdoor booth, visitors can experience demonstrations of a remote attachment switching system using the PC210 equipped with a hydraulic auto coupler, illustrating its potential use in disaster recovery and other challenging environments.
